En: He smiled at a passing guest, exchanged warm greetings with the waitress collecting plates.

He: הוא פגע באוויר שלו, אווירה מוכרת של רעשים, תנודות ואנשים.
En: He absorbed the familiar air around him, an air of noises, movements, and people.

He: אבל גם של בית.
En: But also of home.

He: היה הולך בו, במשטר הזמןה שהתבצע פעמים רבות, והתחיל: "בבקשה.
En: He was going about his business, in his usual manner that had been done many times before, and began: "Excuse me...".

He: ".
En: But then something extraordinary happened.

He: אבל אז קרה משהו חריג.
En: Something that was not included in his regular repertoire of orders slipped from his mouth.

He: מן השפה יצא משהו שאינו נמצא באוספר הרגיל של ההזמנות שלו.
En: He accidentally said: "Give me kebab."

He: אמר בטעות: "שיש קבב".
En: The waitress put the empty plate aside and looked at Avi in bewilderment.

En: Avi suddenly froze.

He: אבי, בתמו אחרי השעשועים שיצאו לו עם המילה הרגילה, אכל את השישליקים עם החומוס ללא שום פשרה, ובדרך הביתה התחיל לשקול את האפשרות להזמנת שיש קבב בכל המקומות שהוא מזמין בהם חומוס.
En: On his way home, he started considering the possibility of ordering kebabs in every place he orders hummus.
