Statuesque Mistake: A Bronze Encounter!

In this episode, we'll explore how a simple walk in the park turns into a comical case of mistaken identity.

Sl: Nekega svežega jesenskega dne, ko so se zadnji sončni žarki prebijali skozi krošnje dreves v parku Tivoli, je Luka s prijateljicama Evo in Tjašo hodil po sprehajalnih poteh in užival v pogovoru.
En: On a fresh autumn day, when the last rays of sun were breaking through the treetops in Tivoli Park, Luka walked along the paths with his friends, Eva and Tjaša, and enjoyed their conversation.

En: Luka was always full of stories, and that day was no exception.

En: Amid gestures and laughter, Eva noticed that Luka was becoming more engrossed in his story.

En: So much so that he didn't notice he had moved away from his friends and approached an old bronze statue of a writer sitting on a bench, looking like a real person.

Sl: V toku pripovedovanja svoje najnovejše dogodivščine je Luka kipu segel v roko.
En: In the midst of telling his latest adventure, Luka reached out to the statue.

Sl: Trenutek tišine je prekinil njegov zmeden obraz, ko je njegova roka čutila mrzel bron namesto toplega odziva.
En: A moment of silence was broken by his puzzled expression as his hand felt the cold bronze instead of a warm response.

En: At that moment, Eva stepped forward and pointed at Luka, who was still trying to understand the situation, while Tjaša could barely contain her laughter.

Sl: "Luka, kaj neki počneš?
En: "Luka, what are you doing?"

Sl: " je vprašala Eva medtem ko je Tjaša končno izbruhnila v smeh.
En: Eva asked, as Tjaša finally burst into laughter.

En: Luka quickly turned around and as soon as he saw his friend's smiling face, he understood what had happened.

Sl: "Govoril sem s kipom!
En: "I was talking to the statue!"

En: Luka exclaimed, his face blushing like autumn leaves.

En: Tjaša hugged Luka and said, "It seems the statue is a great listener.

En: Keep telling the story - maybe it will even praise you for it!"

En: Luka laughed along with them, and when the laughter subsided, he invited his friends to visit a real person, their favorite pastry chef in the center of Ljubljana.

En: "There, we can continue with our stories," Luka said.

En: "And I promise to only speak to real people."

Sl: "Skupaj so se odpravili proti mestu, pripravljeni na sladke dobrote in nove dogodivščine.
En: Together, they headed toward the city, ready for sweet treats and new adventures.

En: Luka remembered those days with a smile, as that funny moment had become part of their shared history of friendship, enriched with laughter, warmth, and countless human statues, which this time were definitely just made of bronze.
