En: And once again, like Odysseus, he embarked on his journey, hoping to outsmart the cunning trap this time.

Uk: В обличчі весняного Києва, з його буйноквітними каштанами і прозорим блакитним небом, під його витягнутими до хмар будиночками, Іван відчував себе тільки великим мандрівником.
En: In the face of spring Kyiv, with its blooming chestnut trees and transparent blue sky, under its buildings reaching up to the clouds, Ivan felt like a great adventurer.

Uk: Його чорні брови згорнулися у бурячок над портфелем карт, посеред яких вже мерехтіла дюжа карта Києва, його світською атлас.
En: His black eyebrows furrowed above a portfolio of maps, among which a large map of Kyiv, his worldly atlas, already shimmered.

Uk: Зараз він був на Хрещатику.
En: He was now on Khreshchatyk.

Uk: Прийшовши зі сторони Майдану Незалежності, він тепер намагався дістатися до Андріївського узвозу.
En: Coming from Independence Square, he was now trying to reach Andriivsky Descent.

Uk: Іван озирнувся, вже знавши, що його план не здійсниться так просто.
En: Ivan looked around, already knowing that his plan wouldn't be so easily accomplished.

Uk: Він повернув ліворуч на Богдана Хмельницького, а потім направо до Михайлівської площі.
En: He turned left onto Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street and then right towards Mykhailivska Square.

Uk: В дивовижній інтерпретації місцевих будівництв і пам'яток Іван почував себе як відчайдуха, що заблукав у геометричних формах вулиць.
En: In the marvelous interpretation of local architecture and landmarks, Ivan felt like a desperado lost in the geometrical shapes of the streets.

Uk: Він зупинився на мить, щоб насолодитись видом на золотий шпиль Михайлівського золотоверхого монастиря, а потім розпочав свій маршрут знову.
En: He paused for a moment to enjoy the view of the golden spire of the Mykhailivskyi Golden-Domed Monastery, and then resumed his route.

Uk: Цього разу, він направився до Володимирського узвозу, сподіваючись що обійде потоки машин і переїде на другу сторону міста.
En: This time, he headed towards Volodymyrska Descent, hoping to bypass the streams of cars and cross over to the other side of the city.

Uk: Але, як і раніше, вулиці мстиво привели його назад до Хрещатика.
En: But, as before, the streets vindictively brought him back to Khreshchatyk.

Uk: Він був втомлений, але не здавався.
En: He was tired, but he didn't give up.

Uk: Він переглянув карту ще раз, вирішивши пройти поверх Городецького, генія архітектури, якого вважали місцевим Гауді.
En: He looked at the map once again, deciding to walk over Horodetskoho Street, the genius of architecture considered a local Gaudí.

Uk: Він пройшов повз Чудо-Будиночок, з його захоплюючою архітектурою, але в кінці конців знову опинився на Хрещатику.
En: He passed by the Miraculous Building, with its captivating architecture, but in the end, he found himself back on Khreshchatyk.

Uk: Було вже пізно.
En: It was already late.

Uk: Сонце зникло за горизонтом.
En: The sun had disappeared below the horizon.

Uk: Вулиці почали покриватися густою мглою.
En: The streets started to be covered in dense fog.

Uk: Він втомлено присів на кам'яну лавочку і почав глядіти на свою карту.
En: Ivan wearily sat on a stone bench and began to look at his map.

Uk: Але тоді він посміхнувся.
En: But then he smiled.

Uk: Вулиці, міст, всі стали йому ближчими, бо він уже спробував їх шляхи, розслідуючи їхні закутки і знаючи кожну зустрічну плитку.
En: The streets, the city, all became closer to him, because he had already tried their paths, exploring their corners and knowing every cobblestone.

Uk: І хоча закінчення центрального конфлікту його історії не було радісним, Іван відчував, що зв'язок з Києвом став ще ближчим.
En: And though the resolution of the central conflict of his story was not joyful, Ivan felt that his connection with Kyiv had become even closer.

Uk: Іван зрозумів, що він не заблукав.
En: Ivan understood that he hadn't gotten lost.

En: He had simply experienced another chapter of his endless journey through life, in the heart of Kyiv.
