Lt: Saulė jau pradėjo nusileisti virš senamiesčio, o Marius ir Giedrė nusprendė aplankyti labirintą, kuris buvo sukurptas iš gyvatvorių Vilniaus senamiestyje. Tai buvo jų pirmasis toks nuotykis kartu.
En: The sun had already started to set over the old town, and Marius and Giedrė decided to visit the maze made of hedges in Vilnius old town. It was their first adventure like this together.

Lt: Eikime į vidų,
En: Let's go inside,

Lt: pasiūlė Giedrė, ir jie abu žengė pro didelius vartus į sudėtingą takų tinklą. Viskas prasidėjo kaip linksma pažintis su paslaptinga vieta.
En: Giedrė suggested, and they both stepped through the large gates into the intricate network of paths. Everything started as a fun exploration of the mysterious place.

Lt: Tačiau praėjus maždaug valandai, Marius pasijuto visiškai pasiklydęs. Jis neteko Giedrės iš akių vos kelias minutes, bet tiek pakako, kad ji dingtų kaip mirgė. Kvapą gniaužiantis nerimas apėmė Marių ir jis pradėjo šaukti:
En: However, after about an hour, Marius felt completely lost. He had lost sight of Giedrė for just a few minutes, but that was enough for her to disappear without a trace. A gripping anxiety overtook Marius, and he started calling out,

Lt: Giedre! Ar girdi mane?
En: Giedrė! Can you hear me?

Lt: Nepaisant to, Marius nepaniko. Jis buvo girdėjęs, kad geriausia išeitis iš labirinto – sekti kairiąją ranką arba visada rinktis vieną pusę. Taigi Marius pradėjo sekti kairiąją sieną, kartais šaukdamas draugės vardą, tikėdamasis girdėti atsakymą.
En: Despite this, Marius didn't panic. He had heard that the best way out of the maze was to keep the left hand on the wall or always choose one side. So Marius began to follow the left wall, sometimes calling out his friend's name, hoping to hear a response.

Lt: Laikui bėgant, debesys pradėjo kauptis, dangus temo, ir Marius jautė, kaip artėja vakaras. Jis žinojo, kad Giedrė, kaip ir jis, mokėjo ramiai spręsti problemas. Ji tikrai rado būdą išlipti iš labirinto, o dabar turėjo būti susirūpinusi dėl jo.
En: As time passed, clouds started to gather, the sky darkened, and Marius felt the evening approaching. He knew that Giedrė, like him, could calmly solve problems. She surely found a way out of the maze, and now she must be worried about him.

Lt: Netikėtai, toliau sekdama savo planą, Marius išgirdo švelnų balsą:
En: Unexpectedly, as he continued to follow his plan, Marius heard a gentle voice,

Lt: Marius, aš čia!
En: Marius, I'm here!

Lt: Tai buvo Giedrė; ji atrodė ramiai sėdinti ant suolo prie labirinto išėjimo.
En: It was Giedrė; she appeared calmly sitting on a bench near the maze exit.

Lt: Mane paliko nuojauta, kad tu eisi kairiąja puse,
En: I had a feeling you would follow the left side,

Lt: pasakojo Giedrė. Todėl aš nusprendžiau palaukti čia, žinodama, kad anksčiau ar vėliau tu pasirodysi.
En: Giedrė recounted. So I decided to wait here, knowing that sooner or later you would show up.

Lt: Marius pasišalino iš kelio ir apsikabino Giedrę, džiaugdamasis, kad jų nuotykių diena baigėsi gerai. Drauge jie pažvelgė į Vilniaus senamiesčio siluetą, kuriame užgeso paskutinės saulės spinduliai, ir pažadėjo vienas kitam, kad nuo šiol pasiklydę rinks visada vieną – saugiausią – labirinto pusę: kartu.
En: Marius stepped off the path and embraced Giedrė, relieved that their day of adventures had ended well. Together, they looked at the silhouette of Vilnius old town, where the last rays of the sun had faded, and promised each other that from now on, when lost, they would always choose one – the safest – side of the maze: together.
