Lt: Gatvelės karoliukais išsibarstė kaip piniginės turinys, o kiekvienas posūkis atrodė lygiai toks pats kaip prieš tai buvęs.
En: The cobblestones of the street were scattered like the contents of a purse, and every turn seemed exactly the same as the one before.

Lt: Šioje pasakų vietoje laikas atrodė sustojęs, bet Giedrė jautė, kaip jos širdis plaka vis greičiau.
En: In this fairytale place, time seemed to have stood still, but Giedrė felt her heart beating faster.

Lt: Ji bandė atsiminti kelią atgal, bet kiekviena iškabų eilė ir senovinis vandens čiaupas atrodė tokie panašūs.
En: She tried to remember the way back, but each row of nooks and crannies and every ancient water spout looked so similar...

Lt: Netoliese, atsidėjęs meno dirbinių restauracijai, Tomas pastebėjo susirūpinusią merginą.
En: Nearby, working on the restoration of art objects, Tomas noticed the worried girl.

Lt: Jis, kaip senamiesčio gyventojas, puikiai išmanė kiekvieną paslėptą kampelį ir paslaptingą gatvelę.

Lt: Tuo metu pro šalį praeidamas Rimvydas, dar vienas senamiesčio pažįstamas, išvydo abu vienišius žmones ir nutarė priartėti.

Lt: Rimvydas buvo geras žmogus, visada pasirengęs padėti kitiems.

Lt: Giedrės baimė ir nerimas dėl pasimetimo virto nuostabiomis akimirkomis su naujai atrastais bičiuliais.
