Fr: Nos récentes disputes reviennent dans ma tête.

Fr: J'ai peur que mes paroles l'aient poussée à fuir.

Fr: Après avoir complété le rapport, je décide de commencer ma propre enquête.

Fr: Je sais qu'elle aime un petit café près de la Seine.

Fr: Après une courte marche, je m'y trouve.

Fr: Le propriétaire, un homme gentil nommé Jacques, me reconnaît tout de suite.

Fr: "Ah, Luc. Sophie vient souvent ici. Elle était là avant-hier," dit-il.

Fr: "Oui, elle était avec des amis, ils parlaient d'une fête. Elle semblait préoccupée," répond-il.
En: "Yes, she was with friends, talking about a party. She seemed worried," he replies.

Fr: Un indice ! Une fête.
En: A clue! A party.

Fr: Sophie aime la musique.
En: Sophie loves music.

Fr: Je me souviens alors d'un club où elle va parfois.
En: I then remember a club she sometimes goes to.

Fr: Je m'y rends sans attendre.
En: I head there without delay.

Fr: Là-bas, je parle à plusieurs jeunes. Finalement, une jeune fille, Amélie, se souvient de l'avoir vue.
En: At the club, I speak to several young people. Finally, a young girl, Amélie, remembers seeing her.

Fr: "Sophie était triste. Elle a dit qu'elle en avait marre de tout. Mais elle n'a rien dit de précis," dit Amélie.

Fr: Sophie, mon cœur se soulève.

Fr: Elle a les yeux rouges, signe qu’elle a pleuré.

Fr: "Papa… je ne savais pas où aller," dit-elle doucement.

Fr: Je me lève et la prends dans mes bras.
