Hu: Egy szép nyári délutánon sétáltam végig a Duna partján, amikor hirtelen szembetalálkoztam vele: egy híres budapesti szoborral.
En: I was walking along the banks of the Danube on a beautiful summer afternoon when I suddenly came face to face with it: a famous Budapest statue.

Hu: Ezen a ponton úgy döntöttem, hogy engedek a kalandok vágyának, és tréfásan úgy teszek, mintha beszélgetnék vele.
En: At this point I decided to give in to my desire for adventure and jokingly pretend to talk to him.

Hu: A járókelők első pillantásra meglepődtek, majd felszabadultan nevetni kezdtek.
En: The passers-by were surprised at first glance, and then began to laugh freely.

Hu: Attila, az egyszerű magyar férfi a szobor előtt állt, és szinte hisztérikusan vitatkozott vele.
En: Attila, the simple Hungarian man, stood in front of the statue and argued with him almost hysterically.

Hu: Élénk hangon beszélt a politikáról, közben játékosan mosolyogva.
En: He talked about politics in a lively voice, smiling playfully.

Hu: Az emberek megtorpantak, hogy meghallgassák, milyen bölcsességeket vontak le Attila és a szobor közötti éjjeli vita során.
En: People stopped to listen to what wisdom was learned during the nightly debate between Attila and the statue.

Hu: Én pedig nevetésben törtem ki, amikor láttam, hogy Attila mimikája és kézmozdulatai mennyire élethűen ábrázolják a vitát.
En: And I burst out laughing when I saw how faithfully Attila's facial expressions and hand movements represented the debate.

Hu: Nem sokkal később a vitatkozásnak még inkább lendületet adtam, és felvetettem néhány nevetséges állítást a politikáról.
En: Not long after, I gave the argument even more momentum and made some ridiculous claims about politics.

Hu: Az emberek mindannyian belekapcsolódtak, és hatalmas mulatság lett a Duna-parton.
En: The people all joined in, and there was great fun on the banks of the Danube.

Hu: Végül Attila és a szobor megegyezett, hogy elmegyünk egy helyi kocsmába, hogy tovább vitatkozzunk egy pohár jó magyar bor mellett.
En: Finally, Attila and the statue agreed that we would go to a local pub to continue arguing over a glass of good Hungarian wine.

En: The passers-by watched us even more enraptured, while we left laughing happily.

En: After a while, Attila and the statue decided that we spent too much time together and began to neglect other activities.

Hu: Felismertünk, hogy a kapcsolatunk túl függővé vált, és mindketten arra az álláspontra jutottunk, hogy inkább el kellett engednünk egymást.
En: We realized that our relationship had become too dependent and we both came to the conclusion that we needed to let each other go.

Hu: Ahogy az este közeledett, és az én történetem Attilával végetért, tudtam, hogy ez egy olyan kalandon vagyok túl, amilyenről csak álmodni mertem.
En: As the evening approached and my story with Attila came to an end, I knew that this was the kind of adventure I had only dreamed of.
