Lt: Giedrė stengėsi nesusijuokti iš draugo nelaimės, bet Eglė, visada turinti kišenėje sprendimą, greitai pasiūlė pagalbą.

Lt: Jis paliko Giedrę ir Eglę mėgautis savo pietumis ir iškeliavo į gatves, kuriose laikas tarsi sustojo.

Lt: Greitai surado būtą, kurios langas buvo išpuoštas senoviškomis užuolaidėlėmis.
En: He quickly found the house, the window of which was adorned with antique curtains.

Lt: Senolė buvo labai draugiška ir iskilusią problemą išsprendė vieno dviejų – pasiūlė naudoti seną lietuvišką gudrybę, sūrus pieną.
En: The old lady was very friendly and quickly solved the pressing issue – she suggested using an old Lithuanian trick, sour milk.

Lt: Jonas abejojo, bet nusprendė pasitikėti.
En: Jonas hesitated, but decided to trust her.

Lt: Stulbinamai, baltas audinys vėl tapo nepriekaištingu.
En: Astonishingly, the white fabric became pristine once again.

Lt: Grįžęs į kavinę su švariomis marškinėlėmis, Jonas surado, kad Giedrė ir Eglė jį kantriai laukia, o staliukas papuoštas desertu: šviežiai keptais šakotis ir karštu žolelių arbata.
